Navayuga Spatial Technologies was selected by Ajman Municipality to carry out detailed Cadastral
Mapping, Aerial Survey and 3D Mapping GIS for Ajman Municipality, UAE. The database will support
the Municipality in planning and laying the infrastructure guidelines to build the future of the
emirate of Ajman. The data will facilitate the Municipality's Planning and Survey Department to
provide state-of-the-art geospatial services to various departments in the municipality and in
private companies.

The project components include Aerial Photography, Cadastral mapping, 3D Mapping, GPS Surveys for
spatial framework establishment, Migration & Correction of existing Cadastral/Parcel Maps.
GIS Database generation. The project was completed with a period of one year. It was started
in May 2007 and completed by June 2008. The updated data and enterprise system are unique and
be one-of-a-kind in UAE and being extensively at various length by broad spectrum
of Governmental Departmental users.

Aerial Su rvey and Mapping compo nent includ es establishm ent of good and precise, geodetic Control network in AJMAN fo r the projec t area and linking
with the existing Network of Contr ol points of UAE. The aerial survey includes unique solution using Vexcel igital camera, Ultracam X. which provides an additional
advantage of acquiring the data in multispectral mode. Alongside necessary Kinematic GPS survey, pre-processing, ortho-processing, image mapping are carried
out. Stereo topographic mapping using softcopy Photogr ammetry techniques wa s used to ccreate detailed maps of 1: 2000 scale alon gside mappi ng of contou rs
at 1 m interval conform ing to ASPRS Class 1 Mapping Standards.

As part of the Cadastr al mapping process, the existing parcel maps available with AJMAN Municipality
are verifi ed with site-plan docume nt for adjust ment. Then, Field Survey are carried out with GPS and
total station to resolve the discrep ancies in the parcels wit h the limits o f AJMAN bo undaries.
Thee final geodatabase encomp ass a seamless GIS layers with update d attributed for whole of mapping arrea of AJMAN.
