The future of spatial technology is in its integration with web and wireless systems that can offer GIS services on a variety of devices - internet, desktop, hand-held, mobile etc. GIS on small hand-held terminals (like Simputers and PDAs) will be the order of tomorrow. Location Based Services (LBS) through mobile and internet on a revenue model can be developed.
