Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) of United Arab Emirates (UAE) is currently in the process
of updating comprehensive Utility database for its Enterprise AM/ FM geographic information system
(GIS). The purpose is to have the most current utility's asset database readily available to staff members
in the Ajman emirate online of company's 175,000 customers.

Navayuga is the primary data provider to GISTEC who is implementing the enterprise system for Federal Electricity and
Water Authority (FEWA). As part of the Enterprise GIS solution, a good geodatabase of the various utilities
of electricity and water are to be prepared. These utility data is being geo-referenced on to the existing base map
available with the department / respective municipalities. Apart there are many existing data (hardcopy
and softcopy format) available with FEWA regarding the existing utilities, as built drawings. These
drawings, earlier were not available up to the house level connection. Only the main line and sub
distributor network details with related utility locations was available. |

Navayuga is entrusted fully in collection, preparation and updation of utility network. The project
includes - complete digitsiation of existing hardcopy maps along with updation of base map from
Quickbird data; field verification and field completion of missing details of base map is not visualized as
part of this project. However if new buildings which has come having the electrical or water connections
would be incorporated by hand drawn sketch. Field Survey of Overground and underground electrical
and water utilities with attributes includes detailed Electrical Components - Components to be surveyed
and marked includes components features of 132kV / 33kV main sub-stations; 33kV / 11kV substations; 11kV / 433V sub-stations; 11kV RMUs; 433V pole-mounted transformers; 433V feeder pillars.
The electrical connections line features cover Main Connections (overground and underground ( 33 KV/
11 KV between substations; 433 KV lines between substations and feeder pillars) and House Connection
(underground) features with meter details. |

In terms of water, features include Ground water wells, Desalination plants, Water Storage tanks,
control utility along the network, Valve, Manhole, Valve Chamber, Water connection network - line
features covering main distribution lines / connections to house connections.

The project covers emirates of Umm Al Quwain (UAQ), Ras al-Khaimah (RAK), Fujairah and Dhaid Area
(Central region). |
